Client Service Associate/Assistant Administrator


Location:    Richmond, VA
Department:    Fixed Income

This full-time, hourly position is designed to give the employee broad exposure and working knowledge of the administration and management of the Fixed Income Department, through processing daily bond activity and performing multiple administrative functions related to bond trading activity.  The position also supports the retail and institutional sales business of the Fixed Income Sales staff. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Answering phones
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Submitting client requests for checks, wires, transfers and security registrations
  • Aiding clients with monthly statement and annual tax notices
  • Assisting with all forms of account paperwork
  • Maintaining records and files as required by the Compliance department
  • Working with internal service departments including Operations, New Accounts, Portfolio Services, Financial Services, and Research
  • College Degree and/or industry experience
  • 3 years of professional experience preferred
  • Series 7 and 66 registrations, or the aptitude and ability to obtain registrations within six months of the hire date
  • Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and master computer applications that house customer data
  • Ability to understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations
  • Professional demeanor
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Regular full-time attendance to meet the daily demands of the position
