Client Services Floater

We are seeking a customer oriented individual to join Davenport’s Client Services team.  This full-time, non-exempt position will primarily provide administrative, technical, and sales support for various departments within the firm.  Responsibilities will include assignments in customer online and internal help desk services.  Additional cross-training in other areas of responsibility within the Client Services department may be required.  Travel may be required on occasion in the Virginia and North Carolina regions.        
This role is intended to develop into a Client Service Associate position, for which the primary responsibility is to serve the needs of Investment Executives with regard to servicing customers and fostering a positive relationship between clients and the firm. 

  • College degree and/or related industry experience
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as business needs change within the department
  • Ability to learn and master computer programs that house customer data
  • Ability to understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations
  • Basic bookkeeping skills and record keeping ability
  • Series 7 license must be obtained within 1 year from date of hire
  • Other requirements may arise as needed to perform all stated and unstated aspects of the position
